DUDE Because in the future, in the past, you went into the future. TECH DUDE Um. Well, so then if you go back too far and bump into a butterfly or something, then you wouldn't exist anymore. DUDE Not in that future. TECH DUDE Oh, so you just say there's multiple timelines. So why not just go to the best timeline? TECH DUDE You could go somewhere where everyone worships you. DUDE Unfortunately, time travel is only temporary. Unlike the unrealistic Back To The Future movies, the flux capacitor loses its charge causing you to return to your point of origin. TECH DUDE Ah, well that's nice. TECH DUDE So if you kill your great, great grandma, then it doesn't alter your timeline and then you go back and everything's okay.
