I always thought it was funny because "modern" seems to mean different things depending on context -> but it's funny that "postmodern" tends to mean future when so many people/things in this world aren't even "modern" yet.
I see postmodernism as the 20th century's concept of progressive art. So postmodern is really the past, post-postmodern is the present and post-post-postmodern is the future. Suddenly I'm hungry for breakfast cereal.
